1. (§25.18) Child Support Orders

The first state to impose a child support order retains CEJ over its order, which, in practical terms, means that it maintains jurisdiction to modify the order. Section 454.867(a)(1), RSMo Supp. 2011. A state can lose CEJ under UIFSA in one of two ways:

1. If all of the litigants and the child no longer live in the state, see § 454.867(a)(1)

2. If all of the parties file a written consent to have another jurisdiction modify the order and assume CEJ, see § 454.867(a)(2)
