F. (§24.36) Restitution

Frequently, an appeal is pursued and no bond posted. In this circumstance, one party has often obtained the benefit of the decree, such as awards for maintenance, child support, or property, through the coercive authority of the court. Restitution is in order if the judgment is reversed on appeal. See State ex rel. Util. Consumers Council of Mo., Inc. v. Pub. Serv. Comm’n, 602 S.W.2d 852 (Mo. App. W.D. 1980); Aetna Ins. Co. v.
