H. (§24.10) Withholding Orders

Section 452.350.2(1), RSMo 2000, provides that the withholding cannot commence when one of the parties demonstrates, and the court finds, that there is good cause not to require immediate withholding of income. The statute suggests that “good cause” may be shown by proof of timely payments in the past or a written agreement between the parties that a wage withholding is not needed to protect the best interest of the children.
