11. (§23.56) Hair and Fibers

Hair sample comparisons are proper subject matter for expert testimony. State v. White, 621 S.W.2d 287, 292–93 (Mo. 1981); State v. Daniels, 655 S.W.2d 106, 108 (Mo. App. S.D. 1983). The weight to be given to the testimony is for the jury. United States v. Haskins, 536 F.2d 775 (8^th Cir. 1976), cert. denied, 429 U.S. 898 (1976).
