As discussed in §24.18 above, the Supreme Court of Missouri has expressly adopted and applied several sections and comments of the Restatement (Second) of Agency (1958) in actions against employers for their employees’ violent acts. This Restatement has since been superseded by the Restatement (Third) of Agency (2006).
