3. (§22.29) Employees Not Covered

A ship’s master and its crew may not claim benefits under LHWCA, 33 U.S.C. §§ 903(a), 902(3)(G). Separate legislation, set forth in §22.13 above, provides for the compensation that may be claimed by injured seamen. A governmental employee is excluded under LHWCA. 33 U.S.C. § 903(b).
