H. (§22.12) Protection of Fellow Employees
Under FELA, the free exchange of information is essential to the proper investigation and prosecution of a claim, and access to information is vitally important. Under 45 U.S.C. § 60, railroad employees who desire to voluntarily furnish information regarding the facts of the injury to the injured employee or to the representatives of an injured or deceased employee are protected from adverse actions or repercussions by the railroad.
