2. (§21.7) When the Client Needs Expert Testimony But Cannot Afford It

In some child abuse and neglect cases, clients cannot afford private expert testimony. In these cases, and even in cases in which money is not a limiting factor, counsel should consider using the testimony of personnel who have met with the children from agencies such as the:

· Missouri Department of Social Services, Missouri Family Support Division;

· court domestic relations services departments;

· local Children’s Advocacy Center...
