It is the responsibility of defense counsel to make appropriate objections to the trial court’s rulings on the conduct of voir dire or the exclusion or retention of jurors. The failure to do so could result in the forfeiture of meaningful appellate review unless the prejudice from the error is severe enough to qualify as plain error. See, e.g., State v.
