Because the MPA does not specify a time limitation in
which causes of action must be brought, courts have held that, in private actions—that is, those without the penalty features that can be brought by the Attorney General—the MPA falls into the general five-year statute of limitations set out in § 516.120, RSMo 2000. Ullrich v. CADCO, Inc., 244 S.W.3d 772, 778 n.3 (Mo. App. E.D. 2008); Boulds v. Chase Auto Fin. Corp., 266 S.W.3d 847, 851 (Mo. App. E.D. 2008).
