The MMWA (Magnuson-Moss Warranty—Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act, ^{15 U.S.C.} §^{§ 2301} et seq., also applies to consumer products and may apply to home repair and remodeling cases. Consumer products are defined as “any tangible personal property . . . normally used for personal, family, or household purposes.” 15 U.S.C. § 2301(1). Generally, the MMWA applies to products with written warranties.
