Section 2 Reorganization of the Deskbook and New Chapters

The number of chapters in this deskbook has grown. The Second Edition contained only 11 chapters; this Third Edition contains 25 chapters. Many of the new chapters were previously subparts of the Second Edition chapters. The Committee felt that many subjects were becoming more prevalent and thus needed additional coverage.

In the Second Edition, two chapters were devoted to public employees:

• Chapter 2—Missouri Public Sector Labor Law

• Chapter 3—Statutory Protections for Public School Teachers

In the Third Edition, these chapters have been combined into one chapter.
