C. (§2.8) Effect of Filing in the Wrong Jurisdiction
Rule: If the notice of appeal is filed in the wrong court, the court will transfer the cause to the court with jurisdiction. Under Mo. Const. art. V, § 11: “[W]ant of jurisdiction shall not be ground for dismissal, and the proceeding shall be transferred to the appellate court having jurisdiction.”
