C. (§2.33) State Legal Expense Fund
If the assault or battery is committed by a state employee, there is a possibility of coverage under Missouri’s State Legal Expense Fund. The State Legal Expense Fund is codified in §§ 105.711 et seq., RSMo 2000 and Supps. 2013 and 2014, and makes state funds available for the payment of claims arising out of acts by state employees.
