F. (§2.31) Alienation of Affection Abolished
In 2003, the Supreme Court of Missouri followed 42 other states by abolishing the tort of alienation of affection of
a spouse in Missouri. Helsel v. Noellsch, 107 S.W.3d 231
(Mo. banc 2003) (tort was premised on “antiquated concepts, faulty assumptions, and is inconsistent with precedent”).
