C. (§2.30) Complaints and Objections

Complaints commence adversary proceedings that are defined by Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Proceeding 7001. The filing of an objection to a claim, if joined with a demand for relief described in Rule 7001, triggers an adversary proceeding as stated in Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Proceding 3007. As discussed above, complaints are required to commence adversary proceedings. If not joined with the request for relief, the objection is a contested matter.
