B. (§2.3) Issuance and Direction

Executions are returnable at a date designated by and at the option of the applicant that is between 30 and 90 days from the date of issuance. This allows the creditor to elect a return date appropriate for the type of property or extent of property to be seized. See Rule 76.04.

Rule 76.05 provides that execution may be directed to "any sheriff in the State of Missouri" and may be executed in any county by the sheriff of that county. Thus, it appears that even an execution intended to be directed locally should be directed to any sheriff rather than the sheriff of a designated county and may be levied by any sheriff in the state to whom it is delivered.
