B. (§2.26) Required Supplements

Rule: The appellant must file a jurisdictional statement with the notice of appeal when the appeal is in the Supreme Court. The appellant must file the supplements required by the courts of appeals.

If jurisdiction lies in the Supreme Court, Rule 81.08(b) requires the appellant to file a jurisdictional statement explaining why. The statement must include sufficient facts to establish the Supreme Court’s jurisdiction. The statement may be supplemented with suggestions not exceeding six pages.
