By order dated June 26, 2007, the Supreme Court of Missouri created Rule 56.02, which stated, “A master may be appointed to preside over the taking of a deposition or determine other discovery issues pursuant to Rule 68.01(h).” Rule 68.01(h), created by the same order, states that the court, when petitioned, may appoint a master, who must be a member of The Missouri Bar, to preside over depositions or determine other discovery issues.
