B. (§2.18) Job-Related Duties Imposed by Statute and Local Law

In many cases, statute or local law will prescribe certain job duties required of a municipal officer or employee. For example, the treasurer of a fourth class city must:

· receive and safely keep all moneys, books, bonds, and obligations entrusted to him or her;

· pay moneys, bonds, and obligations of the city; and

· perform “other duties as may be required of him [or her] by ordinance.”
