It has been indicated that a deposition is the only way to obtain discovery concerning the expert’s opinion “coupled perhaps with a motion to produce the expert’s records.” Willis v. Brot, 652 S.W.2d 738, 740 (Mo. App. E.D. 1983). But see State ex rel. Whitacre v. Ladd, 701 S.W.2d 796 (Mo. App. E.D. 1985), questioning whether documents that would be helpful in impeaching an expert can properly be required produced at the expert’s deposition.
