Section 2.1.4 Materials Suppliers
| Jurisdiction | Arizona |
Materials suppliers are entitled to lien rights in an amount that the materials enhance the owner's property value. No direct privity is required, but the lien must be filed as to the property and through the statutory agent of the owner (who may even be a subcontractor of a subcontractor), so long as there is an element of control residing with that party.9 However, in the context of residential construction, there exists a substantial exception. See Sec. 2.3.2, infra.
