F. (§19.45) Failure to Attend Own Deposition

Rule 61.01(f), in conjunction with Rule 61.01(d)(2), authorizes a trial court to strike a defendant’s pleadings and render a judgment against the defendant by default for failure to attend the defendant’s own deposition. Upon adequate notice, a party deponent must appear at the specified time and place or be subject to sanction by the court.
