C. (§19.16) When to Refrain
Interrogatories should not be submitted when they are unnecessary, and they should not be used as a method of harassment. Counsel should probably refrain from their use when the client would prefer not to answer the same questions, particularly those relating to conduct and sexual activity. Counsel should also refrain from submitting interrogatories when no information is needed from the other party and counsel is satisfied that all the necessary information has been obtained.
