An independent personal representative is held to a standard of care that is the same as that of a supervised personal representative acting without a court order. Under this standard, the independent personal representative must “act[ ] reasonably” for the benefit of interested persons, § 473.810, RSMo 2000, and within the purview of the Missouri Prudent Investor Act, §§ 469.900–469.913, RSMo Supp. 2008, § 473.787.1, RSMo Supp. 2008.
