Rule 123.01 delineates the conditions under which a juvenile may be taken into custody for protection, and Rules 123.02–123.08 set forth the procedures to be followed. When a juvenile is taken into custody by a law enforcement officer or physician, that person must immediately notify the juvenile officer and make reasonable efforts to notify the juvenile’s custodian.
