c. (§18.6) Products Liability
Products liability actions are tort actions for injuries caused by products that are defective or unreasonably dangerous. Products liability actions can be brought for strict liability or negligence. See generally Blevins v. Cushman Motors, 551 S.W.2d 602 (Mo. banc 1977).
Restatement (Second) of Torts § 402A (1965) has been adopted by the Supreme Court of Missouri. Keener v. Dayton Elec. Mfg. Co., 445 S.W.2d 362, 364 (Mo. 1969). The elements of a products liability claim are as follows:
