4. (§17.12) Presumptions and Burdens of Proof
The plaintiff has the burden of showing it had the right to possession of the converted property at the time of the alleged conversion. Mertz v. Blockbuster, Inc., 32 S.W.3d 130 (Mo. App. E.D. 2000).
