A. (§16.3) Generally

An expert witness is one who, by reason of education or specialized experience, possesses superior knowledge with respect to a subject about which persons who have no particular training are incapable of forming an accurate opinion or deducing correct conclusions. Eichelberger v. Barnes Hosp., 655 S.W.2d 699, 704 (Mo. App. E.D. 1983); Giambelluca v. Mo. Pac. RR. Co., 320 S.W.2d 457, 463 (Mo. 1959).
