In Kuchta v. Kuchta, 636 S.W.2d 663 (Mo. banc 1982), the Supreme Court of Missouri ruled that trial courts may, unrestricted by fixed and determined rules, treat deferred compensation as marital property subject to equitable distribution upon dissolution of marriage.
