Illinois abolished tenancy by the entirety property by caselaw at the time of the enactment of the Illinois married women’s statute. But in 1995, tenancy by the entirety was statutorily re-created by 765 Ill. Comp. Stat. Ann. 1005 § 1c (Westlaw through 2012 legislation) but only for property held by husband and wife as the couple’s primary residence. This statute was amended effective January 1, 2011, when the following language was inserted:
