The Department indicates that it complies with the duty imposed in § 301.600.2, RSMo Supp. 2004, to transmit or send receipts for the filing of notices of lien. The author’s experience is that the Department date stamps copies of the notice of lien and application for title with a computer-like printing of a date and internal numbers in the upper right box reserved for such stamping.
