B. (§15.2) Procedure

A writ of habeas corpus may be originally sought in the circuit court—MO. CONST. art. V, § 14; State ex rel. Rudolph v. Ryan, 38 S.W.2d 717 (Mo. banc 1931); State ex rel. Bennett v. Gagne, 623 S.W.2d 87, 89 (Mo. App. W.D. 1981); Fernbaugh v. Clark, 173 S.W.2d 646 (Mo. App. W.D. 1942)—or in the Supreme Court or the court of appeals, MO. CONST. art. V, § 4.
