c. (§15.17) Release From Commitment
Section 552.020.11, RSMo 2000, provides that the committing court, 6 months after a commitment under this section, may order the head of the facility where the accused is located or a designate to determine whether the accused is now mentally fit to proceed and, if not, whether there is a substantial probability that the accused will attain the mental fitness to proceed in the foreseeable future.
