C. (§15.12) Inventory
Within 30 days of being appointed conservator (unless a longer time is granted by the court), the fiduciary must file an inventory. Section 475.145, RSMo 2000 (this section refers to and incorporates the provisions of §§ 473.233–473.243, RSMo 2000, the inventory provisions of the probate provisions of Chapters 473 and 474, RSMo). In addition to the extensive list of property that § 473.233 requires to be included, § 475.145 requires the inclusion of all property that is owned by the protectee and another as joint tenant or tenant by the entirety. Naturally, tenant in common property would be shown as actually owned by the protectee (to the extent of actual percentage ownership). In addition, the inventory must show all policies of life insurance owned by the protectee, regardless of who the beneficiary is (though it does not specifically state, it is the cash value that has relevance to the estate), as well as include a statement of all income the protectee is entitled to, whatever the source...
