A private action for damages under the MMPA is permitted in connection with the purchase or lease of "merchandise." Section 407.025.1, RSMo 2000. "Merchandise" is broadly defined in § 407.010, RSMo 2000, to include goods, services, real estate, commodities, etc. See Freeman Health Sys. v. Wass, 124 S.W.3d 504 (Mo.
