The tortuous trek just completed through the jungle of statutes that apply to out-of-state perfection of liens enables a statement of a few concise conclusions. A lender that perfects a security interest in a motor vehicle in one jurisdiction does not need to take further action to protect itself in Missouri (see §§10.9 and 10.10, supra) unless:

• the original jurisdiction is not a “certificate of title” jurisdiction under the UCC definition (see §§10.9 and 10.11, supra); or
