C. (§14.50) Offers of Settlement or Compromise

“The general rule is that settlement offers and the negotiations concerning them are inadmissible because the law favors the settlement of disputes.” Ellis v. Ellis, 747 S.W.2d 711, 716 (Mo. App. W.D. 1988). See J.A. Tobin Constr. Co. v. State Highway Comm’n of Mo., 697 S.W.2d 183 (Mo. App. W.D. 1985); Daniel v. Ind. Mills & Mfg., Inc., 103 S.W.3d 302, 316–17 (Mo. App. S.D. 2003).
