B. (§14.22) Alienation of a Child’s Affections, Abduction, and Interference With Custody

Alienation of a child’s affections by a third party is not a claim recognized under Missouri law. Hester v. Barnett, 723 S.W.2d 544 (Mo. App. W.D. 1987). Alienation of a child’s affection by one parent against the other parent is also not actionable if it is based only on “mere persuasion of a child to transfer its affection from its parent.” Meikle v.
