Section 13 TemporaryProtectiveProcedures

Section 211.032, RSMo Supp. 2010, sets forth specific procedures when
a child, under the age of 17 years, is in need of care and treatment.
The child may be taken into judicial custody. Rule 123.01. The person taking the juvenile into custody must make every effort to notify the parents or custodian, and the initial custody is for the duration of only 24 hours unless a court has authorized temporary protective custody.

If a juvenile has been committed to temporary protective custody, the court must hold a hearing within three days. Section 211.032.3; Rule 123.04.c. The procedure for conducting the protective custody hearing is set out in Rule 123.05. Notice of the date, time, and place of the hearing must be given to:
