An essential element of a claim under the MMPA is that the plaintiff must have purchased or leased goods or services. Ziglin v. Players MH, L.P., 36 S.W.3d 786 (Mo. App. E.D. 2001). An attempted purchase, never consummated, does not give rise to a claim. Jackson v. Charlie's Chevrolet, Inc., 664 S.W.2d 675 (Mo. App. E.D. 1984). But see Antle v. Reynolds, 15 S.W.3d 762 (Mo.
