An employer did not defame an employee by implying that he used illegal drugs. Landon v. Northwest Airlines, Inc., 72 F.3d 620, 627
(8^th Cir. 1995). In a case decided under California law, the court noted that the employee did test positive for marijuana. Landon, 72 F.3d at 627. “The truth of the allegations, in the context of defamation, provides an absolute defense.” Id. at 627–28.
