2. (§13.8) Service of Process
The respondent must be served in person a reasonable time before the hearing date with the following items:
· A copy of the petition
· A notice of the time and place of the hearing
· The name and address of the court-appointed counsel
· The names and addresses of witnesses who may be called to testify in support of the petition
· A copy of the respondent’s rights set forth in § 475.075.7 and .8, RSMo 2000
The following parties must be served with notice of the time and place of the hearing in any manner permitted by § 472.100, RSMo 2000:
· The respondent’s spouse
· The respondent’s parents
· The respondent’s children who have reached 18 years of age
· The respondent’s guardian or conservator (limited or otherwise)
· Any person having power to act in a fiduciary capacity with respect to any of the respondent’s financial resources
· Any person known to the petitioner to have the care and custody of the respondent
