1. (§13.8) Accounts or Deposits in Financial Institutions
Some banks and trust companies that offer pay-on-death accounts do so by virtue of § 362.471, RSMo 2000, rather than the NTLM. Some savings and loan associations that offer pay-on-death accounts do so by virtue of § 369.186, RSMo 2000, rather than the NTLM.
Except for certain sections, the NTLM does not apply to accounts or deposits in financial institutions unless that law is affirmatively incorporated by reference in the certificate, account, or deposit agreement.
