The need for a motion to conduct a Federal Rule of Bankruptcy Procedure 2004 examination—see §2.22 of the Missouri Bankruptcy Practice (MoBar 2^nd ed. 2007) deskbook—has been eliminated by Local Rule 2004-1 of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Missouri. In the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the Local Rules require a motion to be filed.
