G. (§12.14) Manner of Making a Future Transfer
The law contemplates that donors may provide for a future gift of property to an adult by directing distribution to a personal custodian for the adult beneficiary in a will, trust, or other instrument in which beneficiaries of future gifts are designated. Section 404.460, RSMo 2000. Distribution of a future gift to an adult through a personal custodian would normally be done when there is reason to believe that the adult is or may be a disabled or incapacitated person when the future gift is to be transferred.
