a. (§12.13) Contracts
When any person enters into a contract with any county for the payment of money, debt, duty, or the performance of any matter or thing for the use of the county, the contract vests in the county all the rights, interests, and actions that would be vested in any individual that entered into such a contract. Section 431.070, RSMo 2016. The contract shall be executed in the name of the county by the officer or department head concerned. Section 50.660, RSMo 2016.
