Like the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (FLSA), 29 U.S.C. §§ 201 et seq., Missouri state law governs the payment of a minimum wage and overtime in certain circumstances. Sections 290.500 et seq., RSMo Supp. 2007. Employers must keep records for each employee regarding the employee’s:

• name

• address

• occupation

• rate of pay

• amount paid each pay period;

• hours worked each day and each workweek; and

• goods or services provided by the employer under § 290.512, RSMo Supp. 2007.
