V. (§11.5) Purpose and Use
A request for admission is the procedure through which a party requests an adversary to “admit the truth of a proposition pertinent to the controversy.” Linde v. Kilbourne, 543 S.W.2d 543, 546–47 (Mo. App. W.D. 1976). The following are examples of requests for admission taken from different contexts:
[On the date and time of the accident mentioned in Plaintiff's Petition], Plaintiff’s vehicle was stopped in traffic.
Plaintiff was employed by Defendant as a [position of employment] from [dates of employment].
Defendant employed no less than 15 employees at any time during the year 2014.
Respondent is the natural father of [minor child].
