A. (§11.35) Generally
A wharfinger is a person or company that charges a fee for temporary use of a dock or berthing place furnished in the ordinary course of business for the purposes of:
mooring a vessel; receiving and landing passengers; loading and unloading cargo; making temporary repairs and refueling; and resupplying or reprovisioning vessels.
